More than Medicine

Healing in more than one direction, and the tone care carries into vulnerable places.

Reggie | 05/2025

Medicine can be more than a response to illness. It can bring peace, dignity, clarity, and relationship into vulnerable places.

I am beginning to see medicine not just as a response to illness, but as a sacred opportunity, something God uses to meet people in places of vulnerability and need. Physical healing is only one part of the story. There is also emotional peace. Social connection. Intellectual clarity. A sense of being seen.

God could choose any method to deliver healing. But instead, He so often uses people. Real people. Present people. People who show up, ask questions, listen, and respond, not just with tools and treatments, but with a presence that reflects His own heart.

To me, that is the beauty behind medical care: not just science, but relationship. Not just intervention, but genuinely walking through life with those we serve. Not just data, but dignity.

As I continue this journey, I hope to explore more of how medicine can be used to restore, not only bodies, but stories, families, and even faith in what is still possible.

Care carries a tone. Medical decisions matter. So does the way people are met in the middle of uncertainty, weakness, pain, and hope.
